Miner’s rapid discharge systems for ore cars provide the largest opening possible on through-sill cars. In response to customer demands we have two versions available. Air-Driven:
Two sets of connecting rods allow the timing between doors to be adjusted
for simultaneous opening. The patented lost-motion secondary lock
ensures that doors will not open unless the cylinder is activated.
And the connecting links are fully adjustable allowing the doors
to be adjusted easily as car body sags over time.
Quick-Drop:
The opening doors are disassociated with each other allowing them to swing freely once unlocked. In addition to the primary and secondary lock systems, a safety catch has also been employed which ensures doors are fully closed and locked prior to the train moving.
