Scope/Summary Statement:
The Quality Assurance Inspector performs duties to efficiently detect nonconforming product, and when detected, control the disposition of nonconforming products.
Job Function Statements:
- Audit the quality of production parts, certain incoming raw materials, and certain customer supplied products to specifications.
- Provide final acceptance and/or rejection on in-process inspection decisions.
- Complete required documentation per procedures.
- Keep supervisors informed of any problems or process related issues.
- Where required, perform final audits and record results per procedures.
- Properly document, label and arrange for quarantine of nonconforming material and products.
- Contribute to advice and training of manufacturing operators on quality requirements.
- Fill in for absences in the quality department according to production requirements.
- Active member of the internal and external audit team.
- Promote teamwork and cooperate with other shifts and departments as needed.
- Follow all safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and / or Experience:
- High School graduate or GED required
- 1 year of related experience and or training.
- Ability to read blueprints (drawings) and interpret dimensional specifications.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Demonstrated ability to read and write English
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, as well as move throughout the manufacturing facility.
- Ability to use special tools, such as calipers, wrenches, micrometers, pin and various gages, as well as other special equipment.

Inventory Control Specialist

Scope/Summary Statement:
The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for overseeing inventory levels, maintaining accurate stock records, performing regular stock counts, and ensuring the timely and efficient flow of goods throughout manufacturing. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity of our inventory management processes and supporting the overall operational efficiency of the company.
Job Function Statements/Essential:
- Responsible for tracking and managing inventory levels.
- Conduct regular physical inventories and cycle counts to verify stock accuracy.
- Update and maintain inventory databases and systems with accurate stock information.
- Generate and monitor inventory reports for trends, usage patterns, and potential issues. Analyze reports and identify key areas of variance.
- Coordinate with Sourcing Department to ensure timely ordering of stock when levels fall below minimum thresholds.
- Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory for potential action and make recommendations on actions to appropriate individuals
- Ensure proper storage conditions for inventory, including labeling and organizing.
- Accurately input data related to stock levels, transactions, and inventory adjustments into the system.
- Ensure compliance with inventory management policies, safety standards, and any additional requirements.
- Participate in inventory audits and assist in identifying areas for process improvement.
- Prepare and maintain reports on OEE, and performance.
- Supervise and coordinate work activities related to Material Handler to help accomplish these responsibilities.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of working directly in a manufacturing environment either running production equipment, directing the work of others running equipment or have prior responsibility for inventory management in some capacity.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including creating excel spreadsheets and data entry work.
- Highly organized and detail-orientated is essential.
- Ability to safely drive a fork truck and pass the required certification to drive a fork truck.
- Supervisory experience is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Work environment may include both office and warehouse settings. Steel toed boots/shoes are required.
- Occasional lifting of boxes and materials as required inclusive of the ability to drive a Fork Lift. Due to the nature of this position and requirement to be able to drive a fork truck, this is considered a Safety Sensitive position.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.

Programmer Analyst

Scope/Summary Statement:
The Programmer Analyst shall have the responsibility of providing assistance as required for assigned R&D projects and test programs in support of Miner Enterprises, Inc., Miner Elastomer Products Corporation, and Powerbrace Corporation.
Job Function Statements:
- Develop and Maintain LabView code for the control of equipment and the collection Data during laboratory tests
- Perform data validation, reduction, analysis, and presentation for Laboratory and Field Testing
- Develop and Maintain SOMAT code for the collection of Data during field tests
- Troubleshoot abnormalities/failures of electronic sensors, data anomalies, computer, and data acquisition systems
- Collaborate with R&D and Maintenance personnel on troubleshooting of electro-mechanical test equipment and repairs/upgrades
- Research, Recommend, and specify new data collection equipment or procedures toward enhancing and expanding the Research & Development capabilities
Education and / or Experience:
- Preferred Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Physics, Engineering, Computer Science or related field
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical and non-technical information to technical and non-technical project stakeholders
- Ability to understand department priorities and align activities with company objectives while receiving competing work requests and deadlines
- Proficiency in Human Machine Interface programming – preferably NI LabView
- Experience with closed-loop PID control systems
- Knowledge of data acquisition systems, machine control systems, and electronic transducers
- Proficiency in other computer applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to intermittently sit/stand for various duties.
- Ability to walk in plant periodically, bend and stoop to access file drawers.
- Ability to work on a computer for the majority of the workday.

Job Responsibilities:
- Assemble product in accordance with process instructions and quality specifications, in a safe and timely manner.
- Inspection of parts to ensure quality standards.
- Follow work instructions, during the manufacturing process.
- Teardown and setup of equipment and tooling according to specifications.
- Enter information obtained using measuring devices into data collection system.
- Operation of manual and semi-automatic jobs as well as grinders and other machines.
- Report information to appropriate quality and production forms.
- Run extruders and other related equipment.
- Ability to use gauges, rulers, calipers, general plastics processing equipment hand tools, fixtures and packaging equipment.

Hydraulic Mechanic
Hydraulic Mechanic reports to Foreman, Miner Enterprises
Work location: Geneva, IL.
Full Time-1st. shift
Key Responsibilities:
The Hydraulic Mechanic is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of heavy duty hydraulic equipment, as well as performing general machine/building maintenance.
Essential Functions:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and maintain heavy duty hydraulic systems
- Identify hydraulic components and their capabilities
- Read and understand schematics
- Capable of performing electrical/mechanical troubleshooting root-cause, repairing and rebuilding equipment
- Work with production personnel to correctly identify repair requirements
- Understand and utilize blueprints, operator manuals and/or part catalogs in order to successfully fulfill preventative and corrective maintenance procedures
- Perform work on motors, compressors, conveyors and boilers, and various hydraulic presses ranging from 5-600 tons
- Be available for emergency breakdowns (on-call) and/or snow removal during off work hours, as needed
Requirements:
- HS diploma and/or vocational school training. Minimum of 5 year’s hydraulic experience.
- Excellent working knowledge of hydraulic systems and components including troubleshooting and retro-fitting or designing hydraulic systems.
- Solid understanding of electrical (480V), mechanical pneumatic, hydraulic and piping systems.
- Welding and torch cutting abilities.
- Ability to machine and fabricate parts.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for injection molding, hydraulic presses and automated assembly equipment.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work in a safety conscious manner; understanding safety guidelines and protocols.
- Must have valid driver’s license.
