Temporary Summer Help

Customer Service Representative
MINER ELASTOMER PRODUCTS CORP.

Scope/Summary Statement: To provide customer service support to Miner Elastomer Products Corporation. Ensuring the highest level of customer satisfactions is maintained through accurate and timely entry of orders, monitoring customer portals to ensure changes in product demand is communicated to scheduling and production in a timely manner as well as day of shipment ASN's. This position requires working directly with S&R Manager as well as Director of Sales and Marketing.
Primary Duties
- Receives and processes customer orders from phone conversations with customers, quotes initiated by sales representatives, customer email exchanges or fax, ensuring that orders are placed accurately and timely.
- Responds to customer inquiries and/or changes by updating appropriate information and individuals within the Company.
- Ensures and provides quality service to both internal and external customers.
- Initiates contact with customers and/or sales reps to verify issues related to order detail and accuracy.
- Monitor and maintain customer Portals to obtain orders and ensure orders are entered properly as well as Day of shipment ASN's.
- Work directly with and for the shipping department to ensure all customer shipping requirements are communicated properly and shipping issues are addressed in a timely manner.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
- Contributes to the development and maintenance of standards, and procedures regarding customer service. This will require working directly with S&R, Scheduling, and manufacturing department heads.
- Actively ensure the retention of the organization's customer base which includes promoting the organization to existing customers.
- Prepares, generates and distributes daily order acknowledgements to appropriate personnel.
- Provides order entry reports each month to the Director of Sales and Marketing.
- Process Credit card orders as needed.
- Obtain credit applications and financial information for new customers
- Process and complete NDAs for customers requesting technical data.
- Maintain customer contact information in the MRP system.
- Responsible for processing commercial invoices.
- Handle Misc. P.O. (website ordering) as directed by S&R Manager.
- Backup invoicing and ASN's when necessary due to vacations schedules and/or personal leaves.
- Work with scheduling for ship dates and lead time.
- Print labels as time allows.
Qualifications/Skills:
- 2 years of progressive customer service experience is required. Candidates with equivalent experience to associates degree and work history will be considered.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Ability to prioritize and handle competing requests and deadlines.
- Ability to learn internal software.
- Intermediate level experience with Microsoft Office product, including Excel and Word. Database management experience is a plus.
Extrusion Machinist / Operator

Scope/Summary Statement: Perform duties necessary to produce and assemble product in accordance with process instructions and quality specifications, in a safe and timely manner.
Job Function Statements: Perform all manufacturing, safety, quality, and assembly functions utilizing both verbal and written work instructions.
Essential
- Ability to perform basic (as a minimum) or advanced (preferred) machining operations such as milling, lathe work, drill, and saw. This includes setting up the machine and monitoring the machining processes.
- Ability to machine parts for "fit and function" as well as to meet specifications.
- Read and follow blueprints, drawings and sketches.
- Ensures work area cleanliness and safety.
- Inspect set up and parts to ensure quality standards.
- Follows work instructions, as trained and/or provided, during the manufacturing process.
- Report required information to appropriate quality and production forms (parts, labor, etc.).
- Able to work alone and within a team environment.
- Operation of manual & semi-automatic presses and other production machines.
- Alert shift lead or management of any questionable conditions concerning quality or equipment operation.
- Perform mold or tooling changes per production requirements.
- Count and label product, packaging and bulk containers.
- Perform repetitive operations.
- Maintain shop floor housekeeping and organization
Marginal
- Set and remove die sets according to specifications.
- Operate lift truck, welder, sand blaster, etc.
- Fill in for other employees when needed.
- Other duties as required.
TOOLS EQUIP. & MEASURING INSTRUMENTS: The use of quality gauges, rulers, welders, hydraulic presses, spray painter, small arbor presses, hand tools, fixtures and packaging equipment.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three years related experience and/or training. Basic PC operation (email, office), CAD is a plus. Training by MEPC in the use of the current ERP system.
CLOSING STATEMENTS: Follow safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition. Perform other related duties as assigned. Comply with attendance program.
Hydraulic Mechanic

Key Responsibilities:
The Hydraulic Mechanic is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of heavy duty hydraulic equipment, as well as performing general machine/building maintenance.
