Scope/Summary Statement: The Accounts Receivable/Sales Order Representative will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where they will use their excellent communication and organizational skills to perform effectively.

Job Function Statements:

  • Processing of daily invoicing, freight bills and credit memos
  • Work with various departments to ensure customer orders are being processed and billed correctly
  • Enter orders for small sized customer base
  • Maintain consignment reporting to make sure inventories balance, transfer material to the correct warehouse locations and communicate with customers regarding their consignment accounts
  • Pick orders from Laredo warehouse as well as help customers as needed
  • Manage emailing of shipping and invoicing documents for our customers in Mexico
  • Correct or resolve invoice/payment issues
  • Assist co-workers with various Customer Service duties as needed

Education and / or Experience:

  • High School graduate or GED required; further education is highly recommended.
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy is a must.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • High degree of flexibility, as well as self-direction in both learning and job performance.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform related tasks in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Knowledge of export documents and terms is highly favorable.

Shipping & Receiving Coordinator


DEPARTMENT: Shipping & Receiving

Scope/Summary Statement: Support the Shipping & Receiving functions with coordination of documents and ERP transactions while providing the best internal customer service possible.

Primary Accountabilities:

  • Provide phone support to the Shipping & Receiving department. This includes responding to inquiries as to order status, changes in order priority due to order changes, scheduling pickups for material shipping out, etc.
  • Verify received goods information (bill of lading and packing list). Perform associated Epicor transactions for received material, indicating where material is going to be stored (QA or inventory location). Perform associated transactions for material transfers as well.
  • Provide completed and organized documentation to the appropriate party.
  • Handle all scheduling for pick up orders each day.

  • Provide support to international orders with:
  • Create Packing list,
  • Work with international sales coordinator to order readiness for shipping and documentation,
  • Prepare customs documentation for shipments.

  • Provide updates on "Open International" status report (packed, shipped, etc.) and provide to sales and sourcing.
  • Provide back up to department in other things as needed, including being able to provide forktruck assistance and order picking when needed.

Education and / or Experience:

  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities is required. Previous experience in shipping & receiving is helpful.
  • Experience with MS Office (Outlook, Word and Excel) as well as previous experience with ERP systems.
  • Ability to handle interruptions and maintain the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Work independently and work in a team environment, understanding the goal is to provide excellent customer service to your internal customers as well as assisting in meeting our on-time delivery goals to our external customers.

Senior Manufacturing Accountant

REPORTS TO: Controller

Scope/Summary Statement: The Senior Manufacturing Accountant will provide accurate financial results in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Job Function Statements:

  1. Perform month end closing procedures including journal entries, account analysis, and reconciliations.
  2. Analyze sales transactions for compliance with current revenue recognition guidelines, including identification and reclassification of sales and cost of sales associated with these transactions.
  3. Produce monthly Financial Statements for review by the CFO and Controller, including various ad hoc operating reports.
  4. Review and analyze manufacturing Bill of Materials, standard and average costs, and monthly cost variances in ERP system. Work directly with operations and shop floor to resolve issues.
  5. Allocate and record intercompany activity for certain expenditures shared between Divisions.
  6. Analyze monthly trial balance and provide reports to Divisional Presidents.
  7. Prepare annual LIFO inventory valuation reports and reconciliation to GL.
  8. Monitor accuracy of monthly inventory cycle counts and lead year-end inventory observation/ test counts with publ7.ic accountants. Reconcile and resolve findings.
  9. Prepare work papers for year-end audit and assist with audit, as necessary.
  10. Assist the Controller with annual budget process.
  11. Prepare personal property tax returns.
  12. Perform other such duties as assigned by the CFO and Controller.

LEAD RESPONSIBILITY STATEMENT: Work with key management leaders to be efficient and effective with their production flow and procedures.

COMPUTER SYSTEMS & PROGRAMS: Use of ERP systems (Epicor10), Excel, Word

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: BS in Accounting required, CPA or CMA a plus

Test Engineer

Scope/Summary Statement: The Test Engineer shall have the responsibility of providing engineering assistance as required for assigned R&D projects and test programs in support of Miner Enterprises, Inc., Miner Elastomer Products Corporation, and Powerbrace Corporation.

Job Function Statements

  • Perform stress analysis, Finite Element Analysis, data reduction, and data analysis, on testing equipment and company products.
  • Utilize stress or strain based design techniques for test fixtures and test equipment used in Static, Dynamic, and Cyclic testing.
  • Create engineering documentation on fixture designs, equipment designs, and lab test reports for internal and contract testing.
  • Assist in contract testing efforts, including regulatory or industry standard review, test sequence proposals, quoting of man hours, material, and equipment, and formal test reports.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical failures of test fixtures and equipment
  • Collaborate with electrical technicians and maintenance personnel on troubleshooting of electro-mechanical test equipment and repairs/upgrades.
  • Manage internal and contract test projects from initiation to completion.
  • Research, Recommend, and specify new equipment or procedures toward enhancing and expanding the Research & Development capabilities.

Education and / or Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical and non-technical information to technical and non-technical project stakeholders.
  • Ability to understand department priorities and align activities with company objectives while receiving competing work requests and deadlines.
  • Proficiency With a CAD/Drafting software – preferably Solidworks.
  • Experience with Computer FEA software – preferably ANSYS

Temporary Summer Help

Scope/Summary Statement: We are looking for a number of temporary employees to work full time beginning now until the end of August. The Summer Temporary position will be responsible for helping the Maintenance department with a variety of misc. tasks.

Job Function Statements

  • Responsible for cleaning, painting and organizing of various areas in the building.
  • Installation of building signage as well as a variety of other miscellaneous projects, i.e. assembling cabinets or shelving.
  • Lawn maintenance, tree trimming, and general upkeep of the outdoor areas.

  • Pick up of shop material as well as mail drop off and pick up.

Extrusion Machinist / Operator

Scope/Summary Statement: Perform duties necessary to produce and assemble product in accordance with process instructions and quality specifications, in a safe and timely manner.

Job Function Statements: Perform all manufacturing, safety, quality, and assembly functions utilizing both verbal and written work instructions.


  1. Ability to perform basic (as a minimum) or advanced (preferred) machining operations such as milling, lathe work, drill, and saw.  This includes setting up the machine and monitoring the machining processes.
  2. Ability to machine parts for "fit and function" as well as to meet specifications.
  3. Read and follow blueprints, drawings and sketches.
  4. Ensures work area cleanliness and safety.
  5. Inspect set up and parts to ensure quality standards.
  6. Follows work instructions, as trained and/or provided, during the manufacturing process.
  7. Report required information to appropriate quality and production forms (parts, labor, etc.).
  8. Able to work alone and within a team environment.
  9. Operation of manual & semi-automatic presses and other production machines.

TOOLS EQUIP. & MEASURING INSTRUMENTS: The use of quality gauges, rulers, welders, hydraulic presses, spray painter, small arbor presses, hand tools, fixtures and packaging equipment.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED);  three years related experience and/or training. Basic PC operation (email, office), CAD is a plus. Training by MEPC in the use of the current ERP system.

Hydraulic Mechanic

Hydraulic Mechanic reports to Foreman, Miner Enterprises
Work location: Geneva, IL. Full Time-1st. shift

Key Responsibilities:

The Hydraulic Mechanic is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of heavy duty hydraulic equipment, as well as performing general machine/building maintenance.

Essential Functions:

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and maintain heavy duty hydraulic systems
  • Identify hydraulic components and their capabilities
  • Read and understand schematics
  • Capable of performing electrical/mechanical troubleshooting root-cause, repairing and rebuilding equipment
  • Work with production personnel to correctly identify repair requirements
  • Understand and utilize blueprints, operator manuals and/or part catalogs in order to successfully fulfill preventative and corrective maintenance procedures
  • Perform work on motors, compressors, conveyors and boilers, and various hydraulic presses ranging from 5-600 tons
  • Be available for emergency breakdowns (on-call) and/or snow removal during off work hours, as needed


  • HS diploma and/or vocational school training. Minimum of 5 year’s hydraulic experience.
  • Excellent working knowledge of hydraulic systems and components including troubleshooting and retro-fitting or designing hydraulic systems.
  • Solid understanding of electrical (480V), mechanical pneumatic, hydraulic and piping systems.
  • Welding and torch cutting abilities.
  • Ability to machine and fabricate parts.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills for injection molding, hydraulic presses and automated assembly equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work in a safety conscious manner; understanding safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Must have valid driver’s license.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assemble product in accordance with process instructions and quality specifications, in a safe and timely manner.
  • Inspection of parts to ensure quality standards.
  • Follow work instructions, during the manufacturing process.
  • Teardown and setup of equipment and tooling according to specifications.
  • Enter information obtained using measuring devices into data collection system.
  • Operation of manual and semi-automatic jobs as well as grinders and other machines.
  • Report information to appropriate quality and production forms.
  • Run extruders and other related equipment.
  • Ability to use gauges, rulers, calipers, general plastics processing equipment hand tools, fixtures and packaging equipment.
