Invoicing/Sales Support Specialist

For almost 125 years, Miner Enterprises has been a leader in the supply of freight-car components to the railroad industry. We provide cutting edge, high quality products such as draft gears, side bearings, unloading systems, brake beams and hatch covers to all Class I and II railroads worldwide, freight car builders, private-car companies, leasing companies and contract freight car repair shops.

We are looking for a team oriented, customer focused individual to join our team in Geneva, IL. The Invoicing/Sales Support Specialist will provide sales order support to our internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all activities related to invoicing customers, both for traditional, EDI, drop shipment and R&D customers.  This includes releasing orders, processing credit memos to be applied to accounts as well as verifying pricing and surcharges
  • Verify information on pick slips (i.e. quantity shipped, pickers initial and UPS charges).
  • Prepare invoices for mailing to customers on a daily basis.
  • Maintain files for all orders ensuring that pick slip, bill of lading and a copy of the invoice are in the file.
  • Provide Department Managers reporting regarding the total dollar amount of sales for all daily shipments.
  • Process freight bills.
  • Maintain customer consignment files, including updating files according to usage reports from customers.  Communicate with customers regarding consignment account for reconciliation and variance.
  • Enter new R&D customers into Vantage
  • Pick orders for the Laredo warehouse.
  • Prepare Mexico customs paperwork; communicate to customers and brokers as needed.
  • Ensure all monthly activity (invoicing, credit memos and shipped items) is posted so monthly close can occur.
  • Talk with customers for invoicing, bill of lading or other related questions.  Calls may require additional research and follow-up.
  • Engage with team members to assist with additional projects as needed.

 

Qualifications/Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with minimum 5 years of administrative or customer service experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.  Previous experience in invoicing is favorable.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook and ERP systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle competing requests and deadlines.
  • Work independently and work in a team environment, understanding the goal is to provide excellent service to our customers.
  • Able to work overtime, as needed, to accommodate month-end close timing.

Quality Engineer

Powerbrace Corporation, a division of Miner Enterprises, has been the premier OEM for light, medium and heavy-duty door securement products for cargo shipped by trailer or container. The Powerbrace product line offers custom fabricated lockrods, lockrod assembly kits, steel, aluminum and polymer hinges, compression latches, an extensive offering of mounting hardware options and an array of theft deterrent products.

Ensuring the highest level quality in our manufacturing processes as well as in the receipt of our raw materials is essential to the success of Powerbrace. This Quality Engineer will direct all quality systems processes and activities related to product and process quality and promote a culture of quality assurance – making it right the first time.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Management of certified quality management system, acting as company’s Management Representative, with responsibility for all related ISO / system processes.
  • Manage, monitor, drive and guide CAPA activities including continuous improvement/corrective and preventative activities, mentor/training of internal personnel, failure and opportunity analysis.
  • Engineering & Technical Functions such as working in conjunction with the engineering team to ensure drawings/specs provide clear definition for inspection activities, serve as a resource to suppliers to manage supplier performance with purchasing.
  • Provide training to employees on a regular basis and update knowledge to produce products that are within our QA guidelines.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Associates degree, or degree from a technical school in engineering, inspection, quality or related field.
  • The qualified candidate must have 5 years of quality engineering experience.
  • Able to work within your own goals and priorities while keeping the overall company and department goals in focus.
  • Demonstrated ability to think through problems and develop creative solutions.
  • Strong computer skills (especially excel and databases).
  • Experience with quality management systems, quality audits, various measurement devices and inspection techniques, and inspection of welds is preferred.
  • Experience/knowledge of engineering/technical: drawings and specifications, industry standards, industry accepted quality concepts, development and implementation of inspection techniques and equipment, statistical analysis.

Panel Assembler

Osco Controls, a division of Autoquip Corporation located in Oklahoma, has an immediate opening for a Panel Assembler to join our OKC team. Osco Controls specializes in the design, production, testing, installation and support of industrial, custom control panels which improve productivity in manufacturing. We are looking for a team player to join our tradition of helping to provide innovative and quality solutions since 1992.

Responsibilities include:

  • Read, interpret and follow simple and complex electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, Bill of Materials and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.
  • Perform layout and component mountings of varying complexities according to drawings and in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Drill and tap holes in specific locations to mount components on a specific assembly using hand and power tools.
  • Interconnection and termination of Controls and Machines.  Responsible for all writing splices, terminations and hooks ups as required.
  • Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture, or other holding device.
  • Mounts assembled components, such as transformers, control relays, circuit breakers, drives, power supplies and chassis panel.
  • Connects wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals and contact points.  Cuts wire to specified lengths and routes, combs, twists, wraps, ties and attaches wire to terminal points.
  • Performs in-production inspections, conducts functional and continuity tests of electrical assemblies, components, wire harness and plugs, using ohmmeter, test lights, and other electrical testing instruments to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.

Requirements for this position include:

  • High school diploma, or equivalent.  Technical certification or education will be preferred.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in electrical assembly.  Advanced knowledge of electrical schematics is preferred.
  • Proven ability to work within a small team environment.
  • Ability to work with fractions and converting to decimals for the purpose of performing accurate measurements.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and switch between projects as priorities change.
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.  Work habits that include following a systematic method of performing a task is helpful.
