The SL-76 draft gear is an
excellent gear for all cars, up to and including 286,000 pound gross
rail load. Miner's service proven friction clutch mechanism and natural
rubber spring package are utilized to provide extra heavy-duty car
protection and less operating slack, resulting in reduced wear to
sill walls and all draft system components.
Designed for application to the standard 24-5/8" pocket, the
SL-76 meets the AAR specification M-901-E.
