PC Administrator

We are looking for a Desktop Technician to join our corporate IT team.  This individual will provide support to both internal and external users to ensure effective problem identification and resolution of front-end software and hardware tools, which include desktop and laptop computers, mobile devices and printers used throughout the organization. This includes new computer set-up, images, software installation, upgrades and troubleshooting. Conducts problem identification and resolution with a focus on "first call" resolution, while accurately recording all requests and problem information in the ticket system. Tracks all issues and problems through the process to resolution and ensures all closure information is captured and accurately documented in the ticket system.

Candidates should have knowledge of: Windows desktop operating systems and MS Office suites. Demonstrates a knowledge of, and ability to solve, technical issues related to Windows, desktop networking and file sharing issues. Additional knowledge of hardware devices such as desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers and copiers/scanners is helpful. Candidates who are motivated by a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with multiple changing priorities and tasks is important.  Exceptional customer service attitude is required. Relies on critical thinking/judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Successful candidates will be able to show a certain level of creativity and latitude in solving problems. 

Previous Help Desk/PC Support services experience, with an Associate Degree in a computer related field will be preferred. Because this is a user-facing role, candidates must have strong written/oral communication skills, of both a technical and non-technical nature. Our small, close-knit, IT Department requires a team member be detail oriented, dependable, flexible and organized. This position does require candidate to be able to move approximately 20-25 lbs and be able to maneuver under workstations and other areas that are not easily accessible.


Insurance & Benefits Manager

We are seeking an experience Employee Benefits & Insurance Manager to join our corporate headquarters in Geneva, IL.  This team member will be responsible for:

• All aspects of the employee benefit program, including plan design, rate negotiations, claim resolutions, day-to-day administration, billing, account reconciliation, COBRA and 5500 and other required filings. 

• Business insurance lines, which includes property, casualty lines, workers compensation, cargo and liability. This will include working with our broker to prepare annual carrier submission for renewals, reviewing insurance requirements against customer requests for Certificates, facilitating internal discussion regarding product liability/workers compensation claims, etc. 

• Preparation of bi-weekly payroll and annual insurance budget by division; administration of employee reviews and maintaining employee medical and personnel files.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in business or related field with 5-7 years experience with insurance, with a focus on employee benefit administration. Benefit knowledge/experience should include:

• Plan design and modeling with impact on rate and positioning

• Employee assistance in claim resolutions

• Analysis of current benefit structure to future organizational needs

• Wellness programs

As this role is very hands-on, it is imperative that candidates have:

• Excellent communication skills, both in person and via electronic methods

Purchasing Manager

Powerbrace Corporation is the premier manufacturer of heavy-duty door securement products for teh truck-trailer and container industries. We offer quality lockrods and hinges, plus special cargo door security products and accessories for trailer/container manufacture and repair. Powerbrace's Rail Products Division supplies customers of WH Miner with a series of discharge gates and brake beams to the rail industry. Miner Enterprises, Inc, with world headquarters in Geneva, Illinois, has been a leader in the supply of freight car components to the railroad industry since 1984.

Currently, we are looking for a Purchasing Manager to join our team in Kenosha, WI. This team member will supervise two employees in the Truck Hardware group as well as have responsibility for purchasing of raw materials, components and MRO supplies. This will include reviewing MRP reports and PO's to ensure delivery, collaborating with suppliers to reduce costs, negotiation of prices for raw materials and component purchases, resolves invoice discrepancies, working closely with Engineering on new product design and costing models, etc.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or materials management with a minimum or 5 years of MRP Purchasing and/or Inventory Control experience. Ability to effectively communicate in a matrix organization is important in this role. Prior experience with Epicor Vantage a plus; professional certifications such as CPM/CPSM are highly desirable.

Miner Elastomer Products Corporation (MEPC) has supplied the global industrial marketplace with quality manufactured TecsPak(R) thermoplastic elastomer energy management systems for over 20 years. We are currently seeking a Customer Service & Marketing Coordinator to join our team.
This team member will provide customer service to our internal and external customers ensuring the highest level of customer satisfactions is maintained through accurate and timely entry of orders, resolution of difficult or unusual situations as well as initiating and/or implementing corrective action to ensure the highest level of service available. Supporting company marketing initiatives through sales data tracking, managing promotional materials, trade show planning and making recommendations for marketing and advertising campaigns bases upon sales forecasts.
Qualified candidates will have an AS degree in business, marketing or related with 3-5 years customer service/marketing exp. Equivalent experience to degree and work history will be considered. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, handle competing deadlines and analyze data will be required. Proficiency in MS Office products is also required.

CAD Operator

Currently, we are looking for a CAD Operator to join our team in Geneva, IL. This team member support our engineering initiatives in delivering customer centered products by preparing CAD drawings and sketches from marked prints and verbal descriptions. This involves working with #D modeling softare to create and modify drawings for use by other departments and customers. The work involves working from drawings, sketches or scanned images, customer drawings or specifications. The ideal candidate may have responsibility for some design elements as well.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum or one year of technical school with one year experience in SolidWorks, or other 3D modeling software and experience in the manufacturing of castings, forging and fabrication of metal products. Demonstrated analytical ability and the ability to multi-task is important in this role as well as the ability to effectively communicate in a matrix organization. Salary is commensurate with experience.
